This study evaluates the effectiveness of an innovative program designed to reduce violence against children by targeting men, boys, and the wider community through child-led initiatives.

As one of Save the Children’s strategies, this project involves both men and boys to address violence against children at the family and at community level. The overall aim of the evaluation is to measure the impact that Hiwot Ethiopia, the implementing partner, has had in changing behaviors of violence against children in the Addis Abba neighborhoods of Gullele and Yeka. In addition, this study is trying to examine how children are influencing the design and operation of community child protection systems, and to what extent such child-led initiatives and Model Parent Promoter Groups succeed in strengthening positive child disciplining and parenting skills.
